I have to reselect my Focusrite ASIO driver every time I open the program. Doesn't save your log in info within the program, so you need to sign into Tonecloud from scratch each time. JMHO from being in hi tech all my life.īIAS 2 sounds great but it is very buggy compared to 1.ġ. Seemingly not a well run company if their in damage control mode. They passed their screw up on to the consumer. Then the realized they violated their deal with Celestion. Feeling quite content here!Īnyone else finding these 100 Amp Match presets to be more usable right out of the gate with their stock settings? I'm basically click/select - Go!į them! the original pre release offer said free to Elite upgrader like myself, which I happily paid for. It's really no more tweaking than I have to do with a real amp and I'm really liking this!Īll-in-all, I'm very happy with BA2 and I'm really starting to have fun as I've got some great crunch and lead tones ready for a few recording projects I've been working on. Instead, I'm utilizing a few of the free Official PG Amp Match presets more than anything and occasionally adjusting the mic/s and the amp's front controls a bit for my needs.and that's only if I really need to. ( I really think PG should use these as stock presets because I think people trying the Demo would be FAR more impressed.I know I am, and I've been using this software for years now)Īnother thing I've noticed is that I'm really not using the celestion cabs now like I thought I would. I find I do very minimal (if any) component and cab/mic tweaking with the new amp matches. Don't get me wrong, I think the official celestion IRs are great, but these new amp matches are really good! At this point, I'm no longer bummed that the Modern/Vintage celestion cabs weren't included in the Elite version. Personally, I'm more impressed with the difference in sound with these than I am with the Celestion IR implementation.

For the most part they sound bigger, more full and clear, and lack a lot of that small, nasally, boxy sound I hear in a lot of the limited stock presets. I think a lot of these presets are leagues ahead of the stock presets/amps. Just though I'd give my impressions on the 100 free amp match presets that PG put up on the user cloud. I still need a option to manually delete a quick snap, if it has become obsolete. As an alternative it would be fine to have an overwrite option for existing amp, if the name is identically.
